Compliance testing definition

Compliance testing means ARB directed emissions tests and inspections of a reasonable number of engines and/or vehicles that are offered for sale, or manufactured for sale, in California in order to verify compliance with the applicable certification emission standards. The emissions tests may be conducted at ARB or contracted out facilities or at the manufacturer's facility. The testing will be done at the expense of the manufacturer.
