Examples of Consultant Option in a sentence
The term "Consultant Option" shall mean a NQSO granted pursuant to the Plan to a person who, at the time of grant, is a consultant to the Company or a Subsidiary of the Company, and at such time is neither a common law employee of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries nor a director of the Company.
Except as may otherwise be expressly provided in the applicable Contract, any optionee whose relationship as an employee of, or consultant to, the Company, its Parent and Subsidiaries has terminated by reason of such optionee's Disability may exercise his Employee Option or Consultant Option, to the extent exercisable upon the effective date of such termination, at any time within one year after such date, but not thereafter and in no event after the date the option would otherwise have expired.
To the extent not exercised, installments shall accumulate and be exercisable, in whole or part, at any time after becoming exercisable, to not later than the date the Consultant Option expires.
The death or Disability of an optionee to whom a Consultant Option has been granted under the Plan shall not affect the option, except as may otherwise be provided in the Contract.
The termination of a Consultant Option as a result of the death or Disability of the holder of the option (or a key employee thereof) shall be governed by Paragraph 8.
The Committee may, subsequent to the granting of any Consultant Option, extend the term thereof but in no event shall the term as so extended exceed the maximum term provided for in the preceding sentence.

The Company had previously adopted the Incentive Stock Option Plan (the “Initial Option Plan”), a 1990 Stock Option Plan (the “1990 Plan”), a Consultant Option Plan (the “Consultant Plan”) and an Amended and Restated 1993 Eligible Director Stock Option Plan (the “Director Plan”) (the Initial Option Plan, 1990 Plan, Consultant Plan and Director Plan being collectively referred to herein as the “Predecessor Plans”).
Further, the Shares underlying the Public Warrants, the Underwriters' Unit Purchase Option, the Underwriters' Warrants, the Bridge Warrants and the Consultant Option, when paid for and issued as contemplated by their respective option and warrant agreements, will be legally issued, fully paid and non-assessable.
