Conventional Sand Filter definition

Conventional Sand Filter means a filter with two (2) feet or more of medium sand designed to chemically and biologically process septic tank or other treatment unit effluent from a pressure distribution system operated on an intermittent basis.
Conventional Sand Filter means a filter with two (2) feet of medium sand designed to filter and biologically treat septic tank or other treatment unit effluent from a pressure distribution system at an application rate not to exceed one and twenty three hundredths (1.23) gallons per square foot sand surface area per day, applied at a dose not to exceed twenty (20) percent of the projected daily sewage flow.
