Cooling tower system definition

Cooling tower system means one or more cooling towers and all of the recirculating water system components, process instruments and appurtenances through which water flows or comes into contact with key parts consisting of biocide, anti-scaling and anti-corrosion chemical applicators, valves, pumps, the tower superstructure, condensers and heat exchangers and other related components. The cooling tower system may comprise multiple cooling towers that share some or all superstructure components.
Cooling tower system means closed loop recirculation systems, “once­ through” systems, or any other cooling tower system that receives non-contact process water from a heat exchanger for the purposes of cooling the process water prior to returning the water to the heat exchanger or discharging the water to another process unit, waste management unit, or to a receiving waterbody;

  • Sewer System means pipelines or conduits, pumping stations, force mains, vehicles, vessels, conveyances, injection wells, and all other constructions, devices, and appliances appurtenant thereto used for conducting sewage or industrial waste or other wastes to a point of ultimate disposal or disposal to any water of the state. To the extent that they are not subject to section 402 of the federal Water Pollution Control Act, ditches, pipes, and drains that serve only to collect, channel, direct, and convey nonpoint runoff from precipitation are not considered as sewer systems for the purposes of this part of this division.

  • HVAC means heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

  • Maintenance area means any geographic region of the United States previously designated nonattainment pursuant to the CAA Amendments of 1990 and subsequently redesignated to attainment subject to the requirement to develop a maintenance plan under §175A of the CAA, as amended.

  • HVAC System is defined in Section 6.10(a)(v).

  • Water System means any community water system or nonprofit noncommunity water system, each as defined in the Safe Drinking Water Act, that is eligible under the rules of the department to receive a loan under the program for the purposes of undertaking a project.
