Coronary Artery Bypass definition

Coronary Artery Bypass means the use of a non-coronary blood vessel or blood vessels (either artery or vein) to surgically bypass obstructions in a native coronary artery or arteries supplying blood to the heart.
Coronary Artery Bypass means coronary artery bypass grafting surgery performed via a thoracotomy.
Coronary Artery Bypass means the actual undergoing of bypass surgery (including saphenous vein or internal mammary graft/s) for the treatment of coronary artery disease. Any other operations are specifically excluded from this definition.
