Credentialing verification organization definition

Credentialing verification organization means an organization that gathers data and verifies the credentials of providers in a manner consistent with federal and state laws and the requirements of the National Committee for Quality Assurance. "Credentialing verification organization" is limited to the following:
Credentialing verification organization means an entity that performs primary source verification of a health care practitioner's training, education, experience; "statewide credentialing verification organization" means the credentialing verification organization selected pursuant to the provisions of section five of this article.
Credentialing verification organization or “CVO” means an entity that performs primary source verification of a health care practitioner’s training, education and experience.
