Current Principal Balance. (CPB) means the amount of the outstanding balance, including capitalized interest, on the Direct Loans owed by the student at the end of the most recently completed fiscal year. For a defaulted loan, the CFB is equal to the OPB.

Current Principal Balance. With respect to any Bond (other than a Class AX Bond) as of any Payment Date, the initial principal amount of such Bond as of the Closing Date, as reduced by all amounts paid on previous Payment Dates on such Bond with respect to principal.
