Deadly weapon" has the same meaning as in section 2923.11 of the Revised Code.
Deadly weapon (as such term is defined in W.S. 6-1-104 (a) (iv), i.e. firearms.
Deadly weapon means any weapon designed for lethal use, including a firearm.
As used in sections 2923.11 to 2923.24 of the Revised Code:(A) "Deadly weapon" means any instrument, device, or thing capable of inflicting death, and designed or specially adapted for use as a weapon, or possessed, carried, or used as a weapon.(B)(1) "Firearm" means any deadly weapon capable of expelling or propelling one or more projectiles by the action of an explosive or combustible propellant.
In other words, in order to find the defendant guilty of Possession of a Deadly weapon During Commission of a Felony, you must find that each of the following three elements has been established beyond a reasonable doubt: First, the defendant committed a felony, Assault in the First Degree; and Second, during the commission of the Assault in the First Degree, the defendant possessed a deadly weapon, a cutting instrument; and Third, the defendant acted knowingly.
