Deluge system definition

Deluge system means a sprinkler system employing open sprinklers attached to a piping system connected to a water supply through a valve that is opened by the operation of a detection system installed in the same area as the sprinklers.
Deluge system means a system to overflow an area of a release with an extinguishing agent.
Deluge system means a fixed fire protection system in which the pipe system is empty until the deluge valve operates to distribute pressurized water from open nozzles or sprinklers.
