DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS a. Students who require special accommodations due to a disability as defined by section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and associated Amendments of 2008 should contact the Center for Accessibility Services as soon as possible after submitting this agreement.
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS a. School understands and acknowledges that disability laws apply differently in College courses than in K-12 courses. Additionally, accommodations that are available in K-12 may be different or unavailable in college-level courses.
b. Students enrolled in college-level courses are considered College students. Thus, students are responsible for requesting disability accommodations in accordance with College policies and procedures.
c. School acknowledges that costs incurred in providing college-level accommodations to dual credit students will be shared between the College and School.
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS. For UW-registered students, any accommodations that have been approved at the high school must also be approved by the UW Disability Services Office. To make an accommodation request or obtain more information, students, parents, or school staff must contact the UW Disability Services Office. The UWHS office can provide details on this process.
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS. A. The Employer and the Union will comply with all relevant federal and state laws, and regulations providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. The Employer will maintain written procedures for reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities. Upon request, the Human Resources Office will make the reasonable accommodation written procedures available to an employee.
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS. The District will confer with the union regarding the issue of accommodation for employees that come under the guidelines of ADA, or current employees that have been injured while in the line of duty, and who have permanent restrictions and cannot return to their assigned positions.
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS. Students with disabilities who would like to request a reasonable modification or accommodation to any of the requirements of this contract or for any other housing/living needs, such as an assistance animal, must submit a request to Disability Services. Students with service or approved assistance animals must also abide by the expectations provided by Disability Services.
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS. A. The Employer and the Union will comply with all relevant federal and state laws, and regulations regarding the employment of persons with disabilities and will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. Reasonable accommodation may include job restructuring, or modification of the work environment, methods or equipment that make it possible for an employee with a disability to perform the essential functions of a position, or that enables the employee to enjoy the benefits and privileges of employment as are enjoyed by other similarly situated employees without a disability. Reasonable accommodation will be implemented as long as it is medically necessary and does not impose an undue hardship or a direct threat.
DISABILITY ACCOMMODATIONS. Each request for reasonable accommodation under applicable disability statutes by a bargaining unit member shall be referred to the District and CSEA for examination on an individual basis.
