Division of special education definition

Division of special education means the division of special education established by IC 20-35-2-1.

Related to Division of special education

  • Special education means specially designed instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability, including instruction conducted in the classroom, in the home, in hospitals and institutions, and in other settings; and instruction in physical education.

  • Vocational education means organized educational programs that are directly related to the preparation of individuals for paid or unpaid employment, or for additional preparation for a career not requiring a baccalaureate or advanced degree.

  • Independent educational evaluation means an evaluation conducted by a qualified examiner who is not employed by the public agency responsible for the education of the child in question.

  • General education means the compulsory school attendance phase as referred to in section 3 of the South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of 1996); and

  • Adult basic education means education or instruction

  • Physical education means the development of:

  • Service Planning Team or “SPT” means a team who includes the Individual and/or the Individual’s identified support network, Contractor’s lead administrative staff supporting medical, behavioral and activity oversight called out in this Contract, Contractor’s Administrator or designee and ODHS Designee. The team is responsible for overseeing the Individual’s Service Plan and all other associated plans or services in this Contract.

  • Retail Service and Maintenance Sector Means the service and maintenance of retail facilities which includes financial institutions, retail businesses, schools and hospitals but does not include commercial premises as defined.

  • Local education provider means a school district

  • State Board of Education means and refers to the Board that exercises general control and supervision over the public schools of the State of Alabama as constituted and authorized by ALA. CODE § 16-3-1, et seq. (1975).

  • Public safety officer means a member serving a public

  • Physical therapist assistant means an individual who is licensed/certified by a state and who assists the physical therapist in selected components of physical therapy.

  • Basic health plan means the plan described under chapter

  • Board of Education means a board defined in s.s. 1(1) of the Education Act;

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.
