Eligible Municipal Securities definition

Eligible Municipal Securities means "municipal securities," as defined in section 3(a)(29) of the 1934 Act, that are sufficiently liquid that they can be sold at or near their carrying value within a reasonably short period of time and either: (i) are subject to no greater than moderate credit risk; or (ii) if the issuer of the municipal securities, or the entity supplying the revenues or other payments from which the issue is to be paid, has been in continuous operation for less than three years, including the operation of any predecessors, the securities are subject to a minimal or low amount of credit risk.
Eligible Municipal Securities means ‘‘municipal securities,’’ as defined in section 3(a)(29) of the Securities Ex- change Act of 1934 [15 U.S.C. 78c(a)(29)], that have received an investment grade rating from at least one NRSRO; pro- vided, that if the issuer of the munic- ipal securities, or the entity supplying the revenues or other payments from which the issue is to be paid, has been in continuous operation for less than three years, including the operation of any predecessors, the securities shall have received one of the three highest ratings from an NRSRO.

  • The securities are part of an issue registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, which is being offered to the public, or are Eligible Municipal Securities, or are securities sold in an Eligible Foreign Offering or are securities sold in an Eligible Rule 144A Offering or part of an issue of government securities.

  • In respect of any securities other than Eligible Municipal Securities, the issuer of such securities has been in continuous operation for not less than three years (including the operations of predecessors).

  • In respect to the purchase of Eligible Municipal Securities such purchase is not designated as a group sale or otherwise allocated to the account of the Adviser or any subsidiary or affiliate thereof.

  • X Except for Eligible Municipal Securities, the issuer of such securities has been in continuous operation for not less than three years (including the operations of predecessors).

  • Municipal Securities means municipal securities as described under the heading “Portfolio Contents” in the prospectus or other offering document for a Series of RVMTP Shares.

  • Individual Securities shall have the meaning specified in Section 3.01(p).

  • Federal Securities means: (a) any direct general obligations of the United States of America (including obligations issued or held in book entry form on the books of the Department of the Treasury of the United States of America), for which the full faith and credit of the United States of America are pledged; (b) obligations of any agency, department or instrumentality of the United States of America, the timely payment of principal and interest on which are directly or indirectly secured or guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the United States of America.

  • Asset-Backed Securities means securities which:

  • Municipal security means a secu- rity that is a direct obligation of or issued by, or an obligation guaranteed as to principal or interest by, a State or any political subdivision thereof, or any agency or instrumentality of a State or any political subdivision thereof, or any municipal corporate in- strumentality of one or more States or political subdivisions thereof.

  • Physical Securities means permanent certificated Securities in registered form issued in denomination of $1,000 Principal Amount and integral multiples thereof.

  • Non Book-Entry Capital Securities shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.05.

  • Covered Securities means any note, stock, treasury stock, security future, bond, debenture, evidence of indebtedness, certificate of interest or participation in any profit-sharing agreement, collateral-trust certificate, preorganization certificate or subscription, transferable share, investment contract, voting-trust certificate, certificate of deposit for a security, fractional undivided interest in oil, gas, or other mineral rights, any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege on any security (including a certificate of deposit) or on any group or index of securities (including any interest therein or based on the value thereof), or any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege entered into on a national securities exchange relating to foreign currency, or, in general, any interest or instrument commonly known as a "security", or any certificate of interest or participation in, temporary or interim certificate for, receipt for, guarantee of, or warrant or right to subscribe to or purchase any of the foregoing.

  • Designated Securities means securities issued by an Insured, or by any Affiliated Entity, or by any Fund to which such Insured or any Affiliated Entity provides any services.

  • Rated Securities means each Class of Securities that has been rated by one or both Rating Agencies at the request of the Seller.

  • Mortgage-backed Securities means securities that are secured or otherwise backed by Mortgage Loans.

  • Securities as used herein does not include (i) securities of issuers that are affiliated with the Buyer or are part of the Buyer's Family of Investment Companies, (ii) securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. or any instrumentality thereof, (iii) bank deposit notes and certificates of deposit, (iv) loan participations, (v) repurchase agreements, (vi) securities owned but subject to a repurchase agreement and (vii) currency, interest rate and commodity swaps.

  • central securities depository or ‘CSD’ means a central securities depository as defined in point (1) of Article 2(1) of Regulation (EU) No 909/2014.

  • NIM Securities As defined in the tenth Recital to this Agreement.

  • Eligible Securities means those securities which are identified as permissible securities for a particular Transaction Category.

  • Investor Securities is defined in Section 2.1.

  • Eligible Securities Depository has the meaning set forth in section (b)(1) of Rule 17f-7.

  • Approved Securities means securities of any State Government or of the Central Government and such bonds, both the principal whereof and the interest whereon shall have been fully and unconditionally guaranteed by any such Government;

  • Listed Securities means any Shares, Share Options, stock, debentures, debenture stock or other securities for the time being issued by the Company and officially quoted by ASX;

  • Definitive Capital Securities means any Capital Securities in definitive form issued by the Trust.

  • Portfolio Securities or "investments" of the Series shall mean, respectively, such assets, net assets, securities, portfolio securities or investments which are from time to time under the management of the Subadviser pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Index Securities means Securities of those companies which are at the relevant time the constituent companies of the Index, any Securities used to track the performance of such Securities constituting the Index at the relevant time or such other Securities designated by the Manager.
