Energy Crops definition

Energy Crops means crops that are specifically grown for Bioenergy generation. Biomass from a plantation is not an Energy Crop unless it meets all of the conditions under Part 2, Division 2.2, clause 9(1) of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulation 2001 (Cth).
Energy Crops means a plant crop planted after 31st December 1989 which is grown primarily for the purpose of being used as fuel or which is one of the following—
Energy Crops means crops which are grown specifically for energy use. Crops that can produce biofuels (biodiesel, bioethanol) in Tanzania include: Sugarcane, cassava, maize, sorghum, millet, sisal and rice for bioethanol and jatropha, oil palm, cashew nut, coconut, sunflower, castor bean, soybean, groundnut, cotton, sunflower and Croton megalocarpus among many others for biodiesel.
