energy storage means, in the electricity system, deferring the final use of electricity to a moment later than when it was generated, or the conversion of electrical energy into a form of energy which can be stored, the storing of such energy, and the subsequent reconversion of such energy into electrical energy or use as another energy carrier;
energy storage means, in the electricity system, deferring an amount of the electricity that was generated to the moment of use, either as final energy or converted into another energy carrier.
energy storage means energy storage as defined in point (59) of Article 2 of Directive (EU) 2019/944;
More Definitions of energy storage
energy storage means, in the electricity system, [] the conversion of an amount of the electricity that was generated [] into a form of energy which can be stored, the storing of that energy, and the subsequent direct use or reconversion of that energy back into electrical energy or into another energy carrier and use of that reconverted energy at a later moment than it was generated;
energy storage means equipment used for the storage of electrical energy;
energy storage means a system that uses mechanical, chemical, or thermal processes to store energy for later use.
energy storage means, in the electricity system, the conversion of electrical energy into a form of energy which can be stored, the storing of that energy, and the subsequent reconversion of that energy back into electrical energy or another energy carrier.”[46]
energy storage means any resource located in the Microgrid that is capable of receiving electric energy from the Electric Power Grid or any other generation resource, for later injection of electricity back to the Electric Power Grid or to serve any load.
energy storage. – means a resource capable of absorbing electric energy from the grid, from a behind-the-meter generator, or other DER, storing it for a period of time and thereafter dispatching the energy for use on-site or back to the grid, regardless of where the resource is located on the electric distribution system. These resources include all types of energy storage technologies, regardless of their size, storage medium (e.g., batteries, flywheels, electric vehicles, compressed air), or operational purpose.
energy storage means batteries, flywheels, compressed air energy systems, sensible heat storage or any other technology, system, or device capable of taking electricity and storing it as some form of energy the technology, system, or device can either convert back into electricity or use to displace an electrical load at a later time. Such term shall include standalone technologies, systems, and devices, as well as those co- located with or incorporated into a renewable energy source.
