Entergy Operating. Companies" means Entergy Arkansas, Inc., Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C., Entergy Louisiana, LLC., Entergy Mississippi, Inc., Entergy Texas, Inc., and Entergy New Orleans, Inc. and their respective successors and permitted assigns.

Entergy Operating. Companies for purposes of this Agreement means the following operating companies of Entergy Corporation, which are parties to the Entergy System Agreement: Entergy Arkansas, Entergy Gulf States, Entergy Louisiana, Entergy Mississippi, and Entergy New Orleans, collectively.

Examples of Entergy Operating in a sentence

  • The liability of the Entergy Operating Companies hereunder, whether in respect of a default or otherwise, shall be several and not joint.

  • Following execution of this Transaction, the appropriate Entergy Operating Company(ies) may submit such Transaction to the state or local regulatory commission(s) having jurisdiction over the retail operations of the Entergy Operating Company(ies) participating in the purchase together with an application for approval of such Transaction, or request rate recovery of the costs associated with its participation in this Transaction based on a finding that such participation is prudent.

  • Bidder hereby waives and disclaims any legal or equitable defense to any claim made by or on behalf of ESI, any ESI Representative, any Included Entergy Operating Company, or IEOC Representative in connection with this Agreement or the RFP deriving from or otherwise arising out of ESI, any ESI Representative, any Included Entergy Operating Company, or IEOC Representative not being a signatory to this Agreement.

  • ESI shall be permitted to change the Initial Allocation Ratio for one or more Entergy Operating Companies at any time after the execution of this Confirmation Agreement and prior to the date that is ninety (90) days after the execution of this Agreement (such date being the “Allocation Cutoff Date”).

  • No QF Put Notwithstanding the Capacity Payments and energy Payments to be made by Buyer or any other provision of the Definitive Agreement, in those hours during which Buyer does not Schedule and Dispatch all energy associated with the Capacity Quantity, Seller shall not be entitled to deliver to the host Entergy Operating Company, and the host Entergy Operating Company shall not be obligated to accept or pay for, energy associated with the undispatched portion of the Capacity Quantity.

  • Entergy Services, Inc., is entering into, and is a party to, this Agreement as agent for the Entergy Operating Companies, and shall have no liability hereunder.

  • ESI shall notify Seller of any changes to the Allocation Ratio for any applicable Entergy Operating Company.

Related to Entergy Operating

  • Railway Operation means the construction and operation under this Agreement of the relevant Railway and associated access roads and Additional Infrastructure (if any) within the relevant Railway Corridor and of the associated Lateral Access Roads, in accordance with approved proposals;

  • co-operative means a co-operative registered in terms of section 7 of Cooperatives Act, 2005 (Act No. 14 of 2005)

  • renewable energy sources means renewable sources such as small hydro, wind, solar including its integration with combined cycle, biomass, bio fuel cogeneration, urban or municipal waste and other such sources as approved by the MNRE;

  • Renewable energy resources means energy derived from solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and hydroelectricity. A fuel cell using hydrogen derived from these eligible resources is also an eligible electric generation technology. Fossil and nuclear fuels and their derivatives are not eligible resources.

  • Renewable Energy Source means an energy source that is not fossil carbon-based, non- renewable or radioactive, and may include solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, landfill gas, or wave, tidal and thermal ocean technologies, and includes a Certified Renewable Energy Source.

  • boycott energy company means “without an ordinary business purpose, refusing to deal with, terminating business activities with, or otherwise taking any action intended to penalize, inflict economic harm on, or limit commercial relations with a company because the company (a) engages in the exploration, production, utilization, transportation, sale, or manufacturing of fossil fuel-based energy and does not commit or pledge to meet environmental standards beyond applicable federal and state law, or (b) does business with a company described by paragraph (a).” (See Tex.   • Railway Operation Date means the date of the first carriage of iron ore, freight goods or other products over the relevant Railway (other than for construction or commissioning purposes);

  • Net energy metering means the difference between the kilowatt-hours consumed by a customer-generator and the kilowatt-hours generated by the customer- generator's facility over any time period determined as if measured by a single meter capable of registering the flow of electricity in two directions.

  • Renewable energy system means a fixture, product, device, or interacting group of fixtures, products, or devices on the customer's side of the meter that use 1 or more renewable energy resources to generate electricity.   • Renewable energy resource means a resource that naturally replenishes over a human, not a geological, time frame and that is ultimately derived from solar power, water power, or wind power. Renewable energy resource does not include petroleum, nuclear, natural gas, or coal. A renewable energy resource comes from the sun or from thermal inertia of the earth and minimizes the output of toxic material in the conversion of the energy and includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

  • Solar energy system means a system of components that produces heat or electricity, or both, from

  • Energy means electricity, natural gas, steam, hot or chilled water, fuel oil, or other product for use in a building, or renewable on-site electricity generation, for purposes of providing heating, cooling, lighting, water heating, or for powering or fueling other end-uses in the building and related facilities, as reflected in Utility bills or other documentation of actual Energy use.

  • Gas company means any person distributing gas within the corporate limits or authorized and proposing to so engage.

  • Renewable energy project means (A) a project

  • nuclear energy hazard means the radioactive, toxic, explosive, or other hazardous properties of radioactive material;

  • Energy recovery means energy recovery from waste that is conversion of waste material into usable heat, electricity or fuel through a variety of processes including combustion, gasification, pyrolisation, anaerobic digestion and landfill gas recovery ;

  • Historic resource means a publicly or privately owned historic building, structure, site, object, feature, or open space located within an historic district designated by the national register of historic places, the state register of historic sites, or a local unit acting under the local historic districts act, 1970 PA 169, MCL 399.201 to 399.215, or that is individually listed on the state register of historic sites or national register of historic places, and includes all of the following:

  • Farm operation means any activity conducted solely or primarily for the production of one or more agricultural products or commodities, including timber, for sale or home use, and customarily producing such products or commodities in sufficient quantity to be capable of contributing materially to the operator's support.

  • energy service means the physical benefit, utility or good derived from a combination of energy with energy-efficient technology or with action, which may include the operations, maintenance and control necessary to deliver the service, which is delivered on the basis of a contract and in normal circumstances has proven to result in verifiable and measurable or estimable energy efficiency improvement or primary energy savings;

  • Operating Companies means, collectively, the Creekside Operating Company, the Mentone Operating Company and the Yucaipa Operating Company. “Operating Company” means any of the Operating Companies.

  • Renewable energy means the grid quality electricity generated from renewable energy sources;

  • Electric public utility means a public utility, as that term is

  • Generating Company means any company or body corporate or association or body of individuals, whether incorporated or not, or artificial juridical person, which owns or operates or maintains a generating station;

  • energy poverty means a household’s lack of access to essential energy services that underpin a decent standard of living and health, including adequate warmth, cooling, lighting, and energy to power appliances, in the relevant national context, existing social policy and other relevant policies;

  • energy infrastructure means any physical equipment or facility which is located within the Union or linking the Union to one or more third countries and falling under the following categories:
