The Contractor acknowledges that the Authority has a ‘duty to promote’ equality and must at all times be seen to be actively promoting equality of opportunity for, and good relations between, all persons from the protected characteristic groups covered by the Equality Act: age; disability; gender reassignment; marriage and civil partnership; pregnancy and maternity; race; religion or belief; sex; and sexual orientation.
The Contractor shall comply with the Equality Act 2010 and all applicable amendments, regulations and Codes of Practice or any future or other legislation which concerns discrimination in employment and service delivery (the “Equalities Provisions”).The Contractor shall take all reasonable steps to procure the observance of the Equalities Provisions by those of its Personnel engaged in providing the Goods or Services.
