European Union definition

European Union means the member nations of the European Union established by the Treaty of European Union, signed at Maastricht on February 2, 1992, which amended the Treaty of Rome establishing the European Community.
European Union means the European Union, as its membership may be constituted from time to time, and any successor thereto, and which, as of the Effective Date, consists of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, and that certain portion of Cyprus included in such organization.
European Union means the European Community, the European Coal and Steel Community and the European Atomic Energy Community.

More Definitions of European Union

European Union means the economic and political union established in 1993 by the Maastricht Treaty, with the aim of achieving closer economic and political union between member states that are primarily located in Europe.
European Union. (“yr Undeb Ewropeaidd”) means the territory comprised by the Member States of the European Union as constituted from time to time;
European Union or “EU” means all countries of the European Union, as may be included from time to time.
European Union means the European Union, including member states as of May 1, 2004 but excluding any country which became or becomes a member of the European Union after May 1, 2004.
European Union means the economic, scientific and political organization of European Union member states as it may be constituted from time to time, specifically including any territory that was a European Union member state as of the Effective Date, whether or not such territory is a participating member as of the applicable time.
European Union or “EU” means the economic, scientific and political organization of member states as it may be constituted as at the Effective Date. For clarity, the European Union, as at the Effective Date, includes the United Kingdom.
European Union means the Union as established by the Treaty on European Union and includes the territories in which the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union is applied under the conditions laid down in that latter Treaty.
