Executive head of a state agency definition

Executive head of a state agency means the director, executive director, commissioner, administrator, chief clerk, or other individual who is appointed by the governing body or highest officer of the state agency to act as the chief executive or administrative officer of the agency and who is not an appointed officer. The term includes the chancellor or highest executive officer of a university system and the president of a public senior college or university as defined by Section 61.003, Education Code.

  • Federal banking agency means the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Comptroller of the Currency, the Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision, the National Credit Union Administration and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation;

  • County Political Party Committee means a committee organized pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:5-3.

  • Registered Health Practitioner means a health practitioner registered, or licensed, as a health practitioner (or as a health practitioner of a particular type) under a law of a State or Territory that provides for the registration or licensing of health practitioners (or health practitioners of that type).

  • Department of Justice means the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice.

  • Deputy Commissioner means the Deputy Commissioner of the DEP Bureau of Customer Services, or designee.

  • District Evaluation Advisory Committee means a group created to oversee and guide the planning and implementation of the Board of Education's evaluation policies and procedures as set forth in N.J.A.C. 6A:10-2.3.

  • Home Health Care Agency means an agency or organization which provides a program of home health care and which:

  • €STRi-pTBD means, in respect of any TARGET Business Day falling in the relevant Interest Accrual Period, the €STR for the TARGET Business Day falling “p” TARGET Business Days prior to the relevant TARGET Business Day “i”;

  • Municipal Finance Management Act means the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003);

  • Integrity Commissioner means the Integrity Commissioner appointed by Council pursuant to Section 223.3 of the Municipal Act, 2001;

  • Federal Awarding Agency means a Federal agency providing a Federal Award to a Recipient as described in 2 CFR §200.37

  • State Management Committee means a Committee comprising representatives from the Confederation of Western Australian Industry, the Trades and Labor Council of Western Australia, Technical and Further Education (TAFE) and the relevant Federal and State Government Departments which approve traineeship arrangements by agreement of each of the parties. The State Management Committee may be established pursuant to the provisions of the Industrial and Commercial Training Act, 1975 or any amendment to or substitution of that Act, provided that any Committee or body established in lieu of the State Management Committee has the same representatives structure and decision making processes as that Committee.

  • District Council means a district council within the meaning of the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972(7);
