Experience Credit. A teacher who returns from sabbatical leave within the provisions of this section will retain all previous experience credit for pay purposes and any unused leave time accumulated under the provisions of this Agreement at the commencement of the leave. The teacher will not accrue additional experience credit for pay purposes or leave time during the period of absence for sabbatical leave.

Advancement on the salary schedule for PTS and PTSD teachers is based on: • Having worked at least 75% of the possible teaching days in that year. • A pro-rata share as determined by the FTE percentage with each yearly increment rounded to the nearest step.
Experience Credit. A maximum of 8 years of acceptable experience outside the Covina- Valley Unified School District will be recognized on this Schedule for placement on Step 9. Units: A unit is one semester hour of upper division or graduate level work from an accredited institution taken after receipt of the pertinent degree. One quarter hour equals 2/3 semester hours.
