Experience Credit definition
Experience Credit means the number of years of credited experience the teacher has for the purpose of placement on the salary grid, as determined in accordance with Article B.21.
Experience Credit. Any unit members hired for the 2018-19 school year and onward will be granted unlimited years of service on the salary schedule. The Doctor's Degree shall be in a subject area Stipends commonly taught in the District.
Experience Credit. A teacher who returns from sabbatical leave within the provisions of this section will retain all previous experience credit for pay purposes and any unused leave time accumulated under the provisions of this Agreement at the commencement of the leave. The teacher will not accrue additional experience credit for pay purposes or leave time during the period of absence for sabbatical leave.

Section A: Work Experience Credit: Vocational education staff members who work in business or industry, and who work in their subject field during the summer, shall be given credit on the salary schedule.
Experience Credit for New Employees Employees new to the district, working 180 days or more of the fiscal year (July 1- June 30) or calendar year (January 1 to December 31) constitutes one year of experience for salary experience/consideration.

Experience Credit A Teaching Staff Member commencing employment with or being re- employed by the Centerville City Schools shall not be placed above Step 7 on the salary schedule.
Experience Credit for Current Employees Who Transfer Current employees who transfer into a similar position with a higher pay level shall be placed at the lowest pay level for that position or closest to a 5% increase from the position from which that person has transferred, whichever is greater.
More Definitions of Experience Credit
Experience Credit. To receive a year of credit for experience in this School District, teachers must teach at least 122 teacher workdays as stipulated in the adopted school calendar.
Experience Credit. A maximum of 8 years of acceptable experience outside the Covina- Valley Unified School District will be recognized on this Schedule for placement on Step 9. Units: A unit is one semester hour of upper division or graduate level work from an accredited institution taken after receipt of the pertinent degree. One quarter hour equals 2/3 semester hours. Degrees: BA and MA refer to a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, respectively, from an accredited institution in a field pertinent to the position.

Speech Therapist with a BA and Credential: The state allows Speech Therapists to be credentialed for up to five (5) years without earning a Master’s Degree. The Speech Therapist must demonstrate they have applied and made an effort to get into a program each year to renew the credential. The credential cannot be renewed after 5 years. Step BA + Credential *The salary schedule was assembled using current salaries and adding the Master’s stipend to the current salary. This was done to reflect all incoming Speech Therapists must have a Master’s Degree within five years of earning their credential. Advancement on the salary schedule for PTS and PTSD teachers is based on: • Having worked at least 75% of the possible teaching days in that year. • A pro-rata share as determined by the FTE percentage with each yearly increment rounded to the nearest step.

Experience Credit. A reduced teacher who is rehired under the provisions of this Agreement will be credited with teaching experience at the time of the reduction plus all teaching experience gained since the reduction.
Experience Credit. A teacher who returns from child care leave within the provisions of this section shall retain all previous experience credit for pay purposes and any unused leave time accumulated under the provisions of this Agreement at the commencement of the leave. The teacher shall not accrue additional experience credit for pay purposes or leave time during the period of absence.
