Financial Futures definition

Financial Futures means futures contracts on any of the following: (i) indexes of stocks, bonds or currencies (but excluding single stock futures); (ii) interest rates; (iii) currencies; or (iv) commodities.
Financial Futures includes equity futures, Index Futures, HIBOR Futures and any other index futures, commodities, interest rate futures or foreign exchange futures and options on such futures contracts or items the subject of a futures or options contract traded on the HKFE or any other Foreign Futures Exchanges or any other instrument agreed between the parties from time to time.
Financial Futures. Standard & Poor's 500 Index futures.

Examples of Financial Futures in a sentence

  • When a contract is closed, the SICAV records a realised gain or loss equal to the difference between the proceeds from, or cost of, the closing transaction and the initial cost of the contract in “Net Realised Gain/(Loss) on Financial Futures Contracts” in the Combined Statement of Operations and Changes in Net Assets.Unrealised gains or losses are recorded under “Net Unrealised Gain/(Loss) on Financial Futures Contracts” in the Combined Statement of Net Assets.

For purposes of this Agreement, interests are “regularly traded” if there is a meaningful volume of trading with respect to the interests on an ongoing basis, and an “established securities market” means an exchange that is officially recognized and supervised by a governmental authority in which the market is located and that has a meaningful annual value of shares traded on the exchange. For purposes of this subparagraph 1(q), an interest in a Financial Institution is not “regularly traded” and shall be treated as a Financial Account if the holder of the interest (other than a Financial Institution acting as an intermediary) is registered on the books of such Financial Institution. The preceding sentence will not apply to interests first registered on the books of such Financial Institution prior to July 1, 2014, and with respect to interests first registered on the books of such Financial Institution on or after July 1, 2014, a Financial Institution is not required to apply the preceding sentence prior to January 1, 2016.

  • International Accounting Standards means the accounting standards approved by the International Accounting Standards Board from time to time.
