Flame Arrestor definition

Flame Arrestor means a device in a Vapor Control System which allows gas to pass through it but stops a flame in order to prevent a larger fire or explosion.
Flame Arrestor means a device to prevent the passage of flame, complying with all relevant requirements of this Schedule. Its flame arresting mechanism is based on the principle of quenching;
Flame Arrestor means a device in a Vapor Control System which allows gas to pass through it but stops a flame from returning to an ignition source in order to prevent a larger, uncontrolled fire or explosion.

Related to Flame Arrestor

  • HPD means the Department of Housing Preservation and Development of the City of New York.

  • Contractor means the individual or entity, that has entered into this contract with the Commonwealth.
