Floating License definition

Floating License means a multi-purpose development license allowing use of the Software (i) by Licensed Developers and (ii) in or on Build Servers. The Floating License can “float” between Licensed Developers (a Floating Developer License) and a Build Server (a Floating Build Server License), provided each Floating License is tied to either a single Licensed Developer or a single Build on a Build Server at any given time.
Floating License means a license that permits execution of the Software on any computer on the network. The number of simultaneous/concurrent users and/or executing software instances may be controlled by a License Manager to access and use the Software.
Floating License means the Customer is granted a non-exclusive right to use the Software simultaneously on such number of Customer’s objects (e.g. users or devices) specified in the Order and, where applicable, the CoL in the manner specified in the description of the Software and, where applicable, in the CoL. The Customer is permitted to install the Software on up to ten (10) times as many Instances as it has acquired licenses for objects. Example: In case the Customer acquires a Floating License for three (3) objects, it is entitled to install the Software on thirty (30) of the Customer’s Instances but may never have more than three (3) objects using it at the same time.

  • When the User purchases the Floating License for Licensor’s Redshift product lines as Perpetual License, he also concludes a maintenance agreement pursuant to the Licensor’s maintenance terms, whereas the Licensor shall provide the User with maintenance services, including generally available updates and upgrades to the Floating License for Licensor’s Redshift product lines, for a limited maintenance period of one (1) year.

  • The Floating License for Licensor’s Cinema 4D and Red Giant product lines are only available as Subscription Licenses under the applicable terms and conditions.

  • The Floating License Server is an option that is provided at the sole discretion of JetBrains upon written request and may be subject to separate terms and conditions.

  • The Floating License for Licensor’s Redshift product lines shall not include support.

  • If the Product is accessed via a Floating License Server (as described in Section 5.3), the Product is provided to Customer on a ‘per machine’ basis, where the Floating License Server allocates the Subscription to a specific Machine that can only be used by one User at a time.


More Definitions of Floating License

Floating License means a license under which the Software may be accessed through more than one computer but never through more than one computer at the same time.
Floating License means one software license for a Product which instead of being restricted to one (1) access point (i.e., a computer workstation), can be used at more than one (1) access point, provided that such use shall be restricted to one access point at a time.
Floating License is a Concurrent User License as defined in the Agreement subject to the following additional rules. Any user of a COMOS Platform License for the COMOS Platform may use another COMOS module at the user’s workstation if this module is available on the license server. As soon as a user exits the COMOS Platform License, all module licenses that the user has been using are released by the license server and the module licenses are then available to other users with a valid COMOS Platform License. The general restriction not to use the Software outside of the Customer’s premises does not apply for COMOS Software Floating Licenses. A Floating License can consist of one of the following two types:
Floating License has the same meaning as ‟Concurrent User” license under the Agreement. The Customer is entitled to install the software on up to ten (10) times as many Instances as licenses that were acquired. Example: in case the Customer has acquired three (3) licenses, the software may be installed on 30 (thirty) Customer Instances.
Floating License means a non-exclusive license of the MC Software that access to the MC Software at any given moment is limited to the maximum number of Authorized Users indicated on the Order Form. Customer is entitled to install the MC Software on up to ten times as many Instances as licenses that were acquired. Example: in case Customer has acquired three (3) licenses, the MC Software may be installed on thirty Customer Instances.
Floating License means that up to three Authorized Named Users can have alternate access to the Services, but never more than one Authorized Named User at the same time. As soon as an Authorized Named User exits the Services, the Services are then available to other Authorized Named Users.
Floating License means the number of concurrent “jobs” permitted to run using the Software. For the foregoing purposes, a “job” shall refer to a single instance of a Software program executing across a single processor. There is no limitation on the number of machines or concurrent users running the Maestro graphical user interface for Linux.
