Adopted , in relation to a child, means —
medically approved means certified by a medical practitioner;
Generally Applicable Law means the federal law of the United States of America, and the law of the State of New York (including the rules or regulations promulgated thereunder or pursuant thereto), that a New York lawyer exercising customary professional diligence would reasonably be expected to recognize as being applicable to the Republic and the Bank, the Opinion Documents or the transactions governed by the Opinion Documents. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing definition of Generally Applicable Law, the term “Generally Applicable Law” does not include any law, rule or regulation that is applicable to the Republic and the Bank, the Opinion Documents or such transactions solely because such law, rule or regulation is part of a regulatory regime applicable to any party to any of the Opinion Documents or any of its affiliates due to the specific assets or business of such party or such affiliate. Based upon the foregoing and upon such other investigation as we have deemed necessary and subject to the qualifications set forth below, we are of the opinion that:
Adoptee means an individual who is adopted.
adopted child means a child under 16 years of age.
Informal resolution means options for resolving a formal complaint that do not involve a full investigation and adjudication. Informal resolution may encompass a broad range of conflict resolution strategies, including mediation or restorative justice.
Board of Commissioners means a county board of commissioners.
Community action agency means an agency designated pursuant to section 8.
Supplemental Resolution means any resolution or resolutions of the Trust amending, modifying or supplementing this Bond Resolution, authorizing the issuance of a Series of Refunding Bonds, or any other Supplemental Resolution adopted by the Trust pursuant to the provisions of this Bond Resolution.
resolution plan means a plan proposed by resolution applicant for insolvency resolution of the corporate debtor as a going concern in accordance with Part II;
Sexually motivated ’ means that one of the purposes for which the defendant committed the crime was for the purpose of the defendant’s sexual gratification.
Educational entity means a public school district,
Chartering Authority means (i) with respect to a national bank, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, (ii) with respect to a Federal savings association or savings bank, the Office of Thrift Supervision, (iii) with respect to a bank or savings institution chartered by a State, the agency of such State charged with primary responsibility for regulating and/or closing banks or savings institutions, as the case may be, (iv) the Corporation in accordance with 12 U.S.C. Section 1821(c), with regard to self appointment, or (v) the appropriate Federal banking agency in accordance with 12 U.S.C. 1821(c)(9).
Developmentally appropriate means suitable to the chronological age range and developmental characteristics of a specific group of children.
Governing authority means the local legislative authority
Health carrier or "carrier" means a disability insurer
Generally accepted standards of medical practice means standards that are based upon: credible scientific evidence published in peer-reviewed medical literature and generally recognized by the relevant medical community; physician and health care provider specialty society recommendations; the views of physicians and health care providers practicing in relevant clinical areas and any other relevant factor as determined by statute(s) and/or regulation(s).
Cemetery authority means any person who owns or operates a cemetery specified in s. 157.065 (1).
Public agency means the state or any local subdivision thereof, or any state or local department, agency, board or commission.

Resolutions shall have the meaning set forth in Section 7.5.
Board of County Commissioners means the Board of County Commissioners, Orange County, Florida, or their duly authorized representative(s).
Quasi-public Agency means the Connecticut Development Authority, Connecticut Innovations, Incorporated, Connecticut Health and Educational Facilities Authority, Connecticut Higher Education Supplemental Loan Authority, Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, Connecticut Housing Authority, Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority, Connecticut Hazardous Waste Management Service, Capital City Economic Development Authority, Connecticut Lottery Corporation, or as this definition may otherwise be modified by Title 1, Chapter 12 of the Connecticut General Statutes concerning quasi-public agencies.
Health care system means any public or private entity whose function or purpose is the management of, processing of, enrollment of individuals for or payment for, in full or in part, health care services or health care data or health care information for its participants;
Health care entity means any health care provider, health plan or health care clearinghouse.
