Former Schemes definition

Former Schemes means all occupational pension schemes (as defined in section 1 of the Pension Schemes Act 1993) in which the Company has participated at any time after 30 June 1992 and prior to Completion and to which the Company may be required to make a payment pursuant to Section 75 of the Pensions Act 1995 or otherwise as a result of the liabilities of the scheme exceeding the value of its assets, excluding any money purchase schemes (as defined in section 181 of the Pension Schemes Act 1993) and the Seller's Scheme.

Former Schemes means the Scheme (as defined in clause 3.3(A)(1) and all other Retirement Benefits Schemes of which all or any of the Relevant Employees are members immediately prior to the Relevant Date and “Former Scheme” shall be construed accordingly;

Related to Former Schemes

  • Schemes the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme available to employees of the civil service and employees of bodies under the Superannuation Act 1972, as governed by rules adopted by Parliament; the Partnership Pension Account and its (i) Ill health Benefits Scheme and (ii) Death Benefits Scheme; the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme; and the 2015 New Scheme (with effect from a date to be notified to the Supplier by the Minister for the Cabinet Office);

  • Pension Schemes means the Nord Anglia Joint Pension Scheme, the Wyburn School Limited Pension Life Assurance Scheme (1985) and the Lifetime Pension Scheme, and “Pension Scheme” means any one of them.

  • Superannuation Scheme in this subclause, shall mean a scheme other than one implemented solely for purposes of compliance with Clause 49. - Superannuation of this award, or an Order of the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

  • Pension Scheme means the superannuation scheme continued by section 29(c) of the Act;

  • Company Benefit Plans has the meaning set forth in Section 3.16(a).
