Geometric Mean definition

Geometric Mean means the nth root of a product of n factors, or the antilogarithm of the arithmetic mean of the logarithms of the individual sample values.
Geometric Mean means the value obtained by taking the Nth root of the product of the measured values.
Geometric Mean means the Nth root of the product of N quantities. Alternatively, the geometric mean can be calculated by adding the logarithms of the N numbers, dividing the sum by N, and taking the antilog of the quotient.

Examples of Geometric Mean in a sentence

  • Geometric mean and geometric CV will also be calculated for AUCs and Cmax.

  • Geometric mean – the measure of an average value often applied to numbers for which a log normal distribution is assumed.

  • Geometric mean BPA (unweighted) by population characteristics of post-‐menopausal women 50 year of age and older who participated in NHANES 2005-‐2008 (n=677).

  • Geometric mean values will not be calculated or displayed when zero is the minimal value.

  • GMR and 90% CI were estimated by ANOVA model; a: Geometric mean τ,ss ratio of FDV + ICZ vs.

More Definitions of Geometric Mean

Geometric Mean means the nth root of the product of n items or values. The geometric mean is calculated using the following formula:
Geometric Mean means the Nth root of the product of N quantities.
Geometric Mean means the average of the log values of the colony density and taking the antilog of that value, or by tak- ing the nth root of the products of the n values, i.e., (Y1•Y2•Y3• Yn) to the 1/nth power.
Geometric Mean means the nth root of the product of n numbers.
Geometric Mean means a measure of central tendency calculated by determining the anti-log of the mean of the logarithms of the values to be averaged.
Geometric Mean means the nth root of a product of n factors.
Geometric Mean means the value obtained by taking the Nth root of the product of the measured values where zero values for measured values are taken to be the detection limit.
