Graduate Student means a student who is in attendance at an institution of higher education and is enrolled in an academic program of instruction above the baccalaureate level. The term includes any portion of a program leading to either a degree beyond the baccalaureate, or a first professional degree when at least three years of study at the pre-baccalaureate degree level are required for entrance into a program leading to such a degree. Students admitted as special/provisional graduate students may be considered as eligible students for one term only if it is anticipated they will enroll in a regular graduate program in the following term.
Graduate means a person who has obtained a degree from a higher education institution or possesses qualifications determined by the Director-General to be equivalent to such a degree.
Teaching means, for the purpose of Section 1 of this order, the profession of teaching under a certificate from the Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing or teaching in an accredited college or university.
Student teaching means a supervised teaching practice occurring near the end of an applicant's approved program.
graduate nurse means a person whose name is entered on the graduate nurse register of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. A graduate nurse extended practice means a person whose name is entered on the graduate nurse extended practice register of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. A “graduate practical nurse” means a person whose name is entered on the register of graduate practical nurses of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba. A “graduate psychiatric nurse” means a person whose name is entered on the register of graduate psychiatric nurses of the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba. The terms of this Agreement shall be applicable to the graduate nurse, the graduate practical nurse, graduate psychiatric nurse, and graduate nurse practitioner, except as otherwise specified in the Collective Agreement.
Classroom teacher means a teacher subject to annual performance evaluation review under the provisions of Education Law Section 3012-c.
Mobile crisis outreach team means a crisis intervention service for minors or families of minors experiencing behavioral health or psychiatric emergencies.
Training means instruction or teaching designed to impart a specific skill, as opposed to general knowledge.
Collaborative lawyer means a lawyer who represents a party in a collaborative law process.
Schools means preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and similar facilities, both public and private, used primarily for the instruction of minors.
Approved abuse education training program means a training program using a curriculum approved by the abuse education review panel of the department of public health or a training program offered by a hospital, a professional organization for physicians, or the department of human services, the department of education, an area education agency, a school district, the Iowa law enforcement academy, an Iowa college or university, or a similar state agency.
Vocational education means organized educational programs that are directly related to the preparation of individuals for paid or unpaid employment, or for additional preparation for a career not requiring a baccalaureate or advanced degree.
Behavioral therapy means interactive therapies derived from evidence-based research, including applied behavior analysis, which includes discrete trial training, pivotal response training, intensive intervention programs, and early intensive behavioral intervention.
Objective medical evidence means reports of examinations or treatments; medical signs which are anatomical, physiological, or psychological abnormalities that can be observed; psychiatric signs which are medically demonstrable phenomena indicating specific abnormalities of behavior, affect, thought, memory, orientation, or contact with reality; or laboratory findings which are anatomical, physiological, or psychological phenomena that can be shown by medically acceptable laboratory diagnostic techniques, including but not limited to chemical tests, electrocardiograms, electroencephalograms, X-rays, and psychological tests;
Credentialing means the process of collecting, assessing, and validating qualifications and other relevant information pertaining to a health care provider to determine eligibility and to deliver Covered Services.
School means an elementary or secondary school.
Outreach means the Outreach to potential Clients to link them to appropriate Mental Health 27 Services and may include activities that involve educating the community about the services offered and 28 requirements for participation in the programs. Such activities should result in the CONTRACTOR 29 developing their own Client referral sources for the programs they offer.
Specialist Physician means a licensed physician who qualifies as an attending physician and who examines a patient at the request of the attending physician or authorized nurse practitioner to aid in evaluation of disability, diagnosis, or provide temporary specialized treatment. A specialist physician may provide specialized treatment for the compensable injury or illness and give advice or an opinion regarding the treatment being rendered, or considered, for a patient’s compensable injury.
Students means students, their parents, guardians or other legal representatives.
Fresher means a student who has been admitted to an institution and who is undergoing his/her first year of study in such institution.
Campaigning – means any activity by or on behalf of a candidate, registered third party advertiser, political party or question on a ballot meant to elicit support during the election period. Campaigning does not include the appearance of elected officials, other candidates or registered third party advertisers at an event in their personal capacity without the display of any signage or graphic which identifies the individual as a candidate or registered third party advertiser(s) and without the solicitation of votes.
Adult education means all education or instruction,
Clinician means a physician licensed under chapter 37 of title 5; a nurse licensed
Distance education means education imparted by combination of any two or more means of communication, viz. broadcasting, telecasting, correspondence courses, seminars, contact programmes and any other such methodology;
Training program means an NCA-approved Iowa college, the Iowa law enforcement academy or an Iowa hospital approved by the department to conduct emergency medical care training.
Screening means the evaluation process used to identify an individual's ability to perform activities of daily living and address health and safety concerns.
