Harmonic distortion definition

Harmonic distortion means the mathematical represen- tation of the distortion of the pure sine waveform. Distortion of the pure sine waveform is typically caused by loads that draw current discontinuously or whose impedance varies during the cycle of the input ac voltage waveform.
Harmonic distortion means continuous distortion of the normal sine wave; typically caused by nonlinear loads or by inverters, measured in Total Harmonic Distortion (THD);
Harmonic distortion. Determine total harmonic distortion
