Holidays are. New Year's Day, third Monday in February (Family Day) which may be worked at straight time with the preceding or following Monday to be taken in lieu, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Friday before B.C. Day, B.C. Day, Friday before Labour Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, Employee Birthday and any other day declared as such by the Provincial or Federal Government. Employee Birthday day off may be taken within one week (either side) of the Employee’s birthday.

When a Statutory Holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following work day or days shall be taken off in lieu. On non-industrial projects only, Easter Monday and the Friday before Labour Day may be floated, and the day thereof worked at straight time rates, with an alternate day scheduled to be taken off as mutually agreed between the employer and employee.

When Statutory Holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following work day or days shall be taken off in lieu. When an Employee is required to work on Statutory Holidays recognized by this Agreement he shall be paid double time for all hours worked and shall receive one (1) day in lieu without pay. Vacation and Statutory Holiday Pay shall be paid every payday. The Employees shall receive three (3) weeks annual vacation which may be taken in more than one period but shall not be unduly fragmented. Holidays taken during the time period June to September shall be approved on a seniority basis so that they do not adversely affect the operations of the Employer.

Tool allowance to be paid on an Employee's regular pay day on the basis of sixteen cents ($0.16) per day per one hundred dollar ($100.00) value in hand or other tools that are useful to the Company. Each Employee shall provide the Employer with a list of such tools, at time of hiring and once each calendar year thereafter. The price evaluation of tools shall be based on the current cataloguing of Refrigera- tion Wholesalers and/or the Craftsman Tools Catalogue. Employees to re-evaluate tools on Decem- ber of each year.

  • Holidays shall be deemed to mean and include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

  • NERC Holidays means a holiday as defined by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation or any successor thereto.

  • Metropolitan Area means that area within a radius of fifty kilometres from the Perth Railway Station.

  • Operating Hours means the hours listed in an early learning program parent handbook when the program is open and providing care and services to children.

  • Worksite means:any premises or site where any work is performed for and/or in connection with the Business together with all areas surrounding such premises or site and/or all areas in between such premises or site that You shall use in connection with such work.
