Iowa energy center definition

Iowa energy center or “IEC” means the Iowa energy center created within the economic development authority pursuant to Iowa Code section 15.120.

  • Energy conservation means the decrease in energy requirements of specific customers during any selected time period, resulting in a reduction in end-use services.

  • Renewable energy resource means a resource that naturally replenishes over a human, not a geological, time frame and that is ultimately derived from solar power, water power, or wind power. Renewable energy resource does not include petroleum, nuclear, natural gas, or coal. A renewable energy resource comes from the sun or from thermal inertia of the earth and minimizes the output of toxic material in the conversion of the energy and includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

  • State Energy Commission means The State Energy Commission of Western Australia as described in section 7 of the State Energy Commission Xxx 0000;

  • Renewable Energy Certificates or “RECs” means all of the GIS Certificates and environmental benefits associated with New Class I RPS eligible resources.
