Telephone means a device which is used to transmit and receive voice frequency signals.
Outbound telephone call means a telephone call initiated by a telemarketer to induce the purchase of goods or services or to solicit a charitable contribution.

Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) means telephone service for the transmission of human speech.

Mobile Phone means an individually addressed and addressable IP-enabled mobile hardware device of a user, supporting the Content Protection Responsibilities and Obligations, generally receiving transmission of a program over a transmission system designed for mobile devices such as GSM, UMTS, LTE and IEEE 802.11 (“wifi”) and designed primarily for the making and receiving of voice telephony calls. Mobile Phone shall not include a Personal Computer or Tablet.
Telephone Banking means banking services available from time to time by telephone;
telephone short code means a short telephone number used for the purposes of submitting a vote by text message;
public telecommunications network means the telecommunications infrastructure authorised by a Party to be used to provide public telecommunications services between defined network termination points;
Mobile means any mobile delivery technology including 3G, 3.5G, 4G, 5G cellular technology, and any subsequent generation technology, edge, DVBH or DMB which is or may be used with radio frequency spectrum in any band, to enable or facilitate transmission of textual material, data, voice, video and/or multimedia service to any device (whether now known or hereafter developed) which is capable of receiving and/or sending voice and/or data and/or video communications by means of a device which is designed primarily as a portable device.
Electronic mail address means a destination, commonly expressed as a string of characters, consisting of a unique user name or mailbox (commonly referred to as the “local part” of the address) and a reference to an internet domain (commonly referred to as the “domain part” of the address), whether or not displayed, to which electronic mail can be sent or delivered.
Internet Banking means the service we offer by which you can access and transact on a nominated account by using a personal computer and accessing via our website. This includes transactions processed through the mobile banking facility as well as the smartphone app facility.
Telephone Banking Service or “TBS” means any banking service operated over the telephone (by whatever name it may be known as) offered by the Bank, in connection with the Service Instructions and includes but is not limited to such services respectively known as Self Service Phone Banking and CitiPhone Banking; and

Internet Services means that part of the Data & Internet Services which is accessible via the public internet. This specifically does not refer to wide area networking services that are not accessible via the public internet.
Contact Person means the Contractor's management level personnel who will work as liaison between the City and the Contractor and be available to respond to any problems that may arise in connection with Contractor's performance under the Contract.

telecommunications network means transmission systems and, where applicable, switching or routing equipment and other resources, including network elements which are not active, which permit the transmission and reception of signals by wire, radio, optical, or other electromagnetic means;

Communications services means any service provided for the purpose of transmission of information including, but not limited to, voice, video, or data, without regard to the transmission protocol employed, whether or not the transmission medium is owned by the provider itself and whether or not the transmission medium is wireline. Communications service includes all forms of telephone services and voice, video, data or information transport, but does not include: (1) cable service; (2) open video system service, as defined in 47 C.F.R. 76; (3) private communications system services provided without using the public rights of way or private communications system services that use the public rights of way without imposing any additional burden on the public rights of way; (4) over-the-air radio or television broadcasting to the public-at-large from facilities licensed by the Federal Communications Commission or any successor thereto; and (5) direct-to-home satellite service within the meaning of Section 602 of the Telecommunications Act.
