Lateral Transfers. This is defined as an employee who voluntarily takes another position of the same pay range. In the event that the employee does not successfully pass the probationary period, such employee shall be reinstated without any loss of seniority or pay, provided the pay rate shall not exceed the normal rate of the subject employee for the position being reinstated into.
Lateral Transfers. All Field Services vacancies shall be posted for not less than ten (10) working days. Selection of a Unit Employee for lateral transfer from one District Office to another District Office shall be from the responses to the posting and shall be made on the basis of seniority within the Division of Field Services, unless there are specific performance based reasons for not allowing the transfer as determined by the Commissioner and/or Division Director. In the event that the most senior Unit Employee is not selected for the lateral transfer the Employer shall inform the Unit Employee in writing outlining the reason(s) why within seven (7) calendar days.

Examples of Lateral Transfers in a sentence

  • Displacement and bumping rights shall be forfeited unless exercised by the deadlines specified in this paragraph or in the provisions of 2.a iii, Lateral Transfers, above.

  • Employees changing their work assignments under the provisions of this Section are not subject to Lateral Transfers or Promotions procedures.

  • Such short term assignments must be in accordance with the limitations established by the attending physician and shall be made without regard to procedures for Lateral Transfers.

  • Recall and Lateral Transfers Considered First: Vacancies will be filled first through the recall process.

  • In selecting from among volunteers for permanent transfer to vacant positions, the provisions of Article 15, (Promotions and Lateral Transfers) Sections Four and Eight shall apply.

  • Lateral Transfers Vacancies may be filled by the lateral transfer of a unit member providing that the transfer is requested by the employee or deemed by the Superintendent to be in the best interest of the school system.

  • Bidding or Requesting Lateral Transfers: Qualified Union members within the unit will have five (5) working days from the date of notice to apply for a new or vacated position or any position that may develop as a result of the bidding process.

  • Lateral Transfers: When there are vacancies which could be filled through lateral transfers within an administrative region, such vacancies will be posted so that current employees can apply for such lateral transfers.

  • Details, Temporary Promotions, and Lateral Transfers will be executed in accordance with the procedures outlined in EOP 15-10 and this Article.

  • In addition to the above the Employer will provide the Union with a complete listing of all the following for the period of time being reported: • New Hires • Terminations • Promotions • Demotions • Lateral Transfers • Salary Revisions • Employees on extended leave of absence Such information shall be supplied by the employer and in a form acceptable to the parties.
