Lay-offs and Recalls definition

Lay-offs and Recalls. No new employees shall be hired until those laid off have been given an opportunity of recall provided the said laid off employee has the ability, skill, experience and qualifications to perform the required work.

Examples of Lay-offs and Recalls in a sentence

  • Permanent employees who may be displaced from their job by virtue of automation or technological change will be given the opportunity to fill other vacancies according to the provisions set forth in accordance with Article XXI - Layoffs and Recalls.

  • For the purposes of this article, Vacancies, Promotions, Transfers, Layoffs, and Recalls, the following definitions shall be applied: CERTIFIED: Possessing a Michigan Certificate valid for the teaching level.

  • This section shall not be construed or applied so as to vest a non-tenured Association President with seniority rights superior to those of a tenured employee, nor to negate Article 10 regarding Layoffs and Recalls.

  • If the position no longer exists, the Employee shall be subject to the provisions of Article 24 – Layoffs and Recalls.

  • If there is an insufficient number of volunteers, the staff to be reassigned will be determined based upon (i) experience, (ii) area of certification/licensure, (iii) level of certification/licensure, and (iv) specialized training as determined in accordance with Article 19, Layoffs and Recalls of teachers.

  • This Article does not apply to a change of position as a result of the exercise of seniority rights under Article 16 (Layoffs and Recalls).

  • Temporary employees shall be entitled to all provisions of the agreement applicable to regular employees except Articles 16 (Layoffs and Recalls) and 22 (Leave of Absence).

  • The employer shall draw to the attention of new employees the provisions of Article 14 - Layoffs and Recalls - and the possibility of 'bumping' in the event of layoff.

  • In the event the position no longer exists they will be eligible to exercise their seniority rights according to Article 17 – Layoffs and Recalls.

  • This Article does not apply to a change of position as a result of the exercise of seniority rights under Article 17 (Layoffs and Recalls).

  • Immature marijuana plant means a marijuana plant that is not flowering.

  • Adult entertainment establishment means any of the following:

  • Medical marijuana concentrate means a specific subset of Medical Marijuana that was produced by extracting cannabinoids from Medical Marijuana. Categories of Medical Marijuana Concentrate include Water-Based Medical Marijuana Concentrate, Food-Based Medical Marijuana Concentrate and Solvent-Based Medical Marijuana Concentrate.

  • Cosmetology means the art or practice of embellishment, cleansing, beautification, and styling of hair, wigs, postiches, face, body, or nails.

  • Waterborne disease outbreak means the significant occurrence of an acute infectious illness, epidemiologically associated with the ingestion of water from a public water system which is deficient in treatment, as determined by the Division.

  • Cannabis establishment means a cannabis cultivator, a cannabis manufacturer, a cannabis wholesaler, or a cannabis retailer.

  • Mature marijuana plant means a marijuana plant that is not an immature marijuana plant.

  • Emissions allowable under the permit means a federally enforceable permit term or condition determined at issuance to be required by an applicable requirement that establishes an emissions limit (including a work practice standard) or a federally enforceable emissions cap that the source has assumed to avoid an applicable requirement to which the source would otherwise be subject.

  • Maximum allowable residential density means the density allowed under the zoning ordinance and land use element of the general plan, or if a range of density is permitted, means the maximum allowable density for the specific zoning range and land use element of the general plan applicable to the project. Where the density allowed under the zoning ordinance is inconsistent with the density allowed under the land use element of the general plan, the general plan density shall prevail.

  • Disruption of the educational process means the interruption of classwork, the creation of disorder, or the invasion of the rights of a student or group of students.

  • Off-highway implement of husbandry means the same as that term is defined in Section 41-22-2.

  • Marijuana establishment means a marijuana cultivation facility, a marijuana testing facility, a marijuana product manufacturing facility, or a retail marijuana store.

  • Medical use of marijuana means the acquisition, use, and possession of usable marijuana to treat or alleviate a qualifying patient's debilitating medical condition.

  • Allowable emissions means the emission rate of a stationary source calculated using both the maximum rated capacity of the source, unless the source is subject to federally enforceable limits which restrict the operating rate or hours of operation, and the most stringent of the following:

  • Smuggling of migrants means the procurement, in order to obtain, directly or indirectly, a financial or other material benefit, of the illegal entry of a person into a State Party of which the person is not a national or a permanent resident;

  • Nursing home-type patients means a patient who has been in hospital more than 35 days, no longer requires acute hospital care, cannot live independently at home or be looked after at home, and either cannot be placed in a nursing home or a nursing home place is not available.

  • Liquidation Process Regulations means, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Liquidation Process) Regulations 2016 as amended from time to time;

  • At-home recovery visit means the period of a visit required to provide at home recovery care, without limit on the duration of the visit, except each consecutive four (4) hours in a twenty-four-hour period of services provided by a care provider is one visit.

  • Investigational Product means the Study Drug identified above and the control material, as further detailed in the Protocol;

  • Respiratory protective equipment means an apparatus, such as a respirator, used to reduce an individual's intake of airborne radioactive materials.

  • Diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder means medically necessary assessments, evaluations, or tests

  • Routine patient care costs means Covered Medical Expenses which are typically provided absent a clinical trial and not otherwise excluded under the Policy. Routine patient care costs do not include:

  • Medical marijuana waste or "waste" means unused,

  • PM10 emissions means PM10 emitted to the ambient air as measured by an applicable reference method, or an equivalent or alternate method, specified in 40 CFR Part 51, Appendix M as of December 8, 1984, or by a test method specified in these regulations or any supplement thereto.

  • Intimidating, threatening, abusive, or harming conduct means, but is not limited to, conduct that does the following:

  • School of cosmetology means any premises, building, or part of a building in which students are instructed in the theories and practices of one or more branches of cosmetology.
