Lead−based paint definition

Lead−based paint or “lead−bearing paint” means paint or any other surface coating material containing more than 0.06% lead by weight, calculated as lead metal, in the total nonvolatile content of liquid paint or in the dried film of applied paint, or more than 0.7 milligrams lead per square centimeter in the dried film of applied paint.
Lead−based paint means any paint or other surface coating that contains lead in excess of the Lead­Safe thresholds specified in § 5.8 of this Subchapter.
Lead−based paint or “LBP” means paint or any other surface coating material containing more than 0.06% lead by weight or more than 0.7 milligrams lead per square centimeter.

Lead−based paint means paint or other surface coating that contains lead equal to or in excess of 1.0 milligram per square centimeter (1.0 mg/cm2) or 0.5% by weight , or such other levels set by the EPA which shall be adopted by reference for the purposes of this definition.
