Life Status Change definition

Life Status Change means an event recognized by the Policyholder and Us that qualifies the Insured Person to make changes in coverage at any time other than an Enrollment Period. The following events are all considered Life Status Changes:

Examples of Life Status Change in a sentence

  • Any change you make to your elections must be consistent with your Life Status Change.

  • B-BBEE status level of contributor” means the B-BBEE status of an entity in terms of a code of good practice on black economic empowerment, issued in terms of section 9(1) of the Broad- Based Black Economic Empowerment Act;

Continuous Service Status as an Employee or Consultant shall not be considered interrupted in the case of: (i) sick leave; (ii) military leave; (iii) any other leave of absence approved by the Administrator, provided that such leave is for a period of not more than ninety (90) days, unless reemployment upon the expiration of such leave is guaranteed by contract or statute, or unless provided otherwise pursuant to Company policy adopted from time to time; or (iv) in the case of transfers between locations of the Company or between the Company, its Parents, Subsidiaries, Affiliates or their respective successors. A change in status from an Employee to a Consultant or from a Consultant to an Employee will not constitute an interruption of Continuous Service Status.

  • Termination of Service means:

  • Continuous Status as an Employee means the absence of any interruption or termination of service as an Employee. Continuous Status as an Employee shall not be considered interrupted in the case of a leave of absence agreed to in writing by the Company, provided that such leave is for a period of not more than 90 days or reemployment upon the expiration of such leave is guaranteed by contract or statute.

  • Inactive status means the status of a practitioner licensed or registered pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 153 who is not currently engaged in the practice of dentistry, dental hygiene, or dental assisting in the state of Iowa and who has paid the required renewal fee but who has not met the requirements for continuing education.

  • Level VI Status exists at any date if, on such date, the Borrower has not qualified for Level I Status, Level II Status, Level III Status, Level IV Status or Level V Status.

  • Tax-Free Status means the qualification of a Distribution or any other transaction contemplated by the IRS Ruling or any Tax Opinion as a transaction in which gain or loss is not recognized, in whole or in part, and no amount is included in income, including by reason of Distribution Taxes, for U.S. federal, state, and local income tax purposes (other than intercompany items, excess loss accounts or other items required to be taken into account pursuant to Treasury Regulations promulgated under Section 1502 of the Code).

  • Active status means (i) for employees, the absence of any interruption or termination of service as an employee, (ii) for Directors, that the Director has not been removed from the Board for cause (as determined by the Company’s shareholders), and (iii) for Consultants, the absence of any interruption, expiration, or termination of such person’s consulting or advisory relationship with the Company or any Subsidiary or the occurrence of any termination event as set forth in such person’s Award Agreement. Active Status shall not be considered interrupted (A) for an employee in the case of sick leave, maternity leave, infant care leave, medical emergency leave, military leave, or any other leave of absence properly taken in accordance with the policies of the Company or any applicable Subsidiary as may be in effect from time to time, and (B) for a Consultant, in the case of any temporary interruption in such person’s availability to provide services to the Company or any Subsidiary which has been granted in writing by an authorized officer of the Company. Whenever a mandatory severance period applies under applicable law with respect to a termination of service as an employee, Active Status shall be considered terminated upon such Employee’s receipt of notice of termination in whatever form prescribed by applicable law.

  • Termination After Change in Control means either of the following events occurring within twelve (12) months after a Change in Control:

  • Disabling Event means the General Partner ceasing to be the general partner of the Partnership pursuant to Section 17-402 of the Act.

  • Continuous Status as a Director means the absence of any interruption or termination of service as a Director.

  • Service Change has the meaning set forth in Section 2(B) of the Agreement.

  • Special Hazard Coverage Termination Date The point in time at which the Special Hazard Loss Coverage Amount is reduced to zero.

  • Disability Termination means termination by the Company of the Executive’s employment by reason of the Executive’s incapacitation due to disability. The Executive will be deemed to be incapacitated due to disability if at the end of any month the Executive is unable to perform substantially all of the Executive’s duties under this Agreement in the normal and regular manner due to illness, injury or mental or physical incapacity, and has been unable so to perform for either (i) three consecutive full calendar months then ending, or (ii) 90 or more of the normal working days during the 12 consecutive full calendar months then ending. Nothing in this paragraph alters the Company’s obligations under applicable law, which may, in certain circumstances, result in the suspension or alteration of the foregoing time periods.

  • Child with a disability means a child who, by reason of any of the following, needs special education and related services:

  • Service Termination Date means the last Day in a month upon which Service shall terminate, as set forth in a Schedule of Service and subject to any renewal thereof.

  • Level V Status exists at any date if, on such date, the Borrower has not qualified for Level I Status, Level II Status, Level III Status or Level IV Status.

  • Involuntary Termination means a termination of your employment with the Company pursuant to either (i) a termination initiated by the Company without Cause, or (ii) your resignation for Good Reason, and provided in either case such termination constitutes a Separation from Service. An Involuntary Termination does not include any other termination of your employment, including a termination due to your death or disability.

  • Travel status with respect to an employee means absence of the employee from his/her headquarters or geographic location on Justice Institute of British Columbia business with the approval of the Employer, but travel status does not apply to employees temporarily assigned to a position outside of his/her headquarters or geographic location or to field status employees;

  • Involuntary Termination Without Cause means Executive’s dismissal or discharge other than for Cause. The termination of Executive’s employment as a result of Executive’s death or disability will not be deemed to be an Involuntary Termination Without Cause.

  • Specific learning disability (SLD) means a heterogeneous group of conditions wherein there is a deficit in processing language, spoken or written, that may manifest itself as a difficulty to comprehend, speak, read, write, spell, or to do mathematical calculations and includes such conditions as perceptual disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia and developmental aphasia.

  • Company Termination Event has the meaning set forth in Section 10 hereof.

  • Complete Termination means a termination of the Fund's Rule 12b-1 plan for B-2 Shares involving the cessation of payments of the Distribution Fees, and the cessation of payments of distribution fees pursuant to every other Rule 12b-1 plan of the Fund for every existing or future B-Class-of-Shares (as hereinafter defined) and the Fund's discontinuance of the offering of every existing or future B-Class-of-Shares, which conditions shall be deemed satisfied when they are first complied with hereafter and so long thereafter as they are complied with prior to the earlier of (i) the date upon which all of the B-2 Shares which are Distributor Shares pursuant to Schedule I hereto shall have been redeemed or converted or (ii) May 31, 2005. For purposes of this Section 14.5, the term B-Class-of-Shares means each of the B-1 Class of Shares of the Fund, the B-2 Class of Shares of the Fund and each other class of shares of the Fund hereafter issued which would be treated as Shares under Schedule I hereto or which has substantially similar economic characteristics to the B-1 or B-2 Classes of Shares taking into account the total sales charge, CDSC or other similar charges borne directly or indirectly by the holder of the shares of such class. The parties agree that the existing C Class of Shares of the Fund does not have substantially similar economic characteristics to the B-1 or B-2 Classes of Shares taking into account the total sales charge, CDSC or other similar charges borne directly or indirectly by the holder of such shares. For purposes of clarity the parties to this agreement hereby state that they intend that a new installment load class of shares which may be authorized by amendments to Rule 6(c)-10 under the 1940 Act will be considered to be a B-Class-of-Shares if it has economic characteristics substantially similar to the economic characteristics of the existing B-1 or B-2 Classes of Shares taking into account the total sale charge, CDSC or other similar charges borne directly or indirectly by the holder of such shares and will not be considered to be a B-Class-of-Shares if it has economic characteristics substantially similar to the economic characteristics of the existing C Class of shares of the Fund taking into account the total sales charge, CDSC or other similar charges borne directly or indirectly by the holder of such shares.

  • Continuous Status as an Employee or Consultant means the absence of any interruption or termination of service as an Employee or Consultant. Continuous Status as an Employee or Consultant shall not be considered interrupted in the case of sick leave, military leave, or any other leave of absence approved by the Board; provided that such leave is for a period of not more than 90 days or reemployment upon the expiration of such leave is guaranteed by contract or statute.
