local council means a local council established under the Local Government Act, 2004;
Rural county means a county of the third, fourth, fifth, or sixth class.
County highway means a public road that is constructed and
local road means a sealed or unsealed road for which the council is the responsible road authority under the Road Management Act 2004
Cottage Sector Means a single dwelling that does not have a common facility for a multiple number of tenants.
local community means any community of people living or having rights or interests in a distinct geographical area;
Fecal coliform means aerobic and facultative, Gram-negative, nonspore-forming, rod-shaped bacteria capable of growth at 44.5° C, and associated with fecal matter of warm-blooded animals;
Foothill means Foothill Capital Corporation, a California corporation.
SITC means the Standard International Trade Classification, Revision 3 (SITC, Rev. 3), published by the United Nations in Statistical Papers, Series M, No. 34/Rev. 3 (1986);
State historic preservation officer means the governor’s appointee who is responsible for the management of the historic preservation program of the state and compliance of the state historic preservation program with federal statutes and regulations of the National Park Service.
County means the county of Los Angeles or any public entities for which the board of supervisors is the governing body. (Ord. 2002-0040 § 1, 2002: Ord. 2002-0015 § 1 (part), 2002)
Local Calls for purposes of intercarrier compensation, is traffic where all calls are within the same common local and common mandatory local calling area, i.e., within the same or different SBC Exchange(s) that participate in the same common local mandatory local calling area approved by the applicable state Commission. Local Calls must actually originate and actually terminate to parties physically located within the same common local or common mandatory local calling area.
National Office means the government authority of a Contracting State entrusted with the granting of patents; references to a “national Office” shall be construed as referring also to any intergovernmental authority which several States have entrusted with the task of granting regional patents, provided that at least one of those States is a Contracting State, and provided that the said States have authorized that authority to assume the obligations and exercise the powers which this Treaty and the Regulations provide for in respect of national Offices;
County clerk means the county clerk or the county official in charge of elections.
Regional Office means the U.S. department of veterans affairs regional office in Wisconsin.
Motorway means a road specially designed and built for motor traffic, which does not serve properties bordering on it, and which:
Local Street means an open (traversable) right-of-way that is not identified in Schedule E of the most recent City of Winnipeg Streets By-law No. 1481/77 (i.e. not a Regional Street);
County Superintendent means the Executive County Superintendent of Schools designated by the Department of Education for this school district.
State department means the state department of human services.
County agency means the county social service board.
local municipality means a municipality that shares municipal executive and legislative authority in its area with a district municipality within whose area it falls, and which is described in section 155(1) of the Constitution as a category B municipality;
storey means that portion of a building which is situated between the top of any floor and the top of the floor next above it, and if there is no floor above it, that portion between the top of such floor and the ceiling above it.
FIFA means the Fédération Internationale de Football Association.
County Manager means the County Manager appointed by the County Council pursuant to the Luzerne County Charter;
Local Calling Area is a geographically defined area as established by the effective tariffs of CenturyLink as approved by the Commission.
Deputy Mayor means the councillor who is appointed by council, pursuant to section 34 of this bylaw, to act as mayor in the absence or incapacity of the mayor.
