Local Service Area definition

Local Service Area means the area within which telephone service is furnished to customers under a specific schedule of exchange rates and without toll charges, which may include one (1) or more exchange areas or portions of exchange areas.
Local Service Area means, for ALLTEL Wireless, the Major Trading Area (“MTA”) in which calls originate and terminate, and means, for RLEC, the RLEC’s local exchange areas which are on file and have been approved by the Commission in which calls originate and terminate. For purposes of this agreement, RLEC’s Local Service Area shall include those service areas connected via an EAS arrangement approved by the Commission.
Local Service Area means a smaller geographic unit within an energy utility’s companywide service area, such as zip code, city, county, or other similar unit.

Local Service Area means, for SPRINT-originated traffic, Major Trading Area Number 5 and for XXXXX COUNTY-originated traffic, its local calling area contained in XXXXX COUNTY’s Local Exchange Service Area Tariff MPSC 1R.
