Maternal Blood definition

Maternal Blood means the blood to be taken from the birth Mother at birth and to be tested for Transmissible Diseases as required in terms of Regulation 183 of the Act and in terms of the American Association of Blood Banks International Accreditation Standards;
Maternal Blood means the peripheral blood collected from the Birth Mother of the Child for the purpose of testing, which has been drawn by observing standard phlebotomy procedures, taken either at the time of collection of the Umbilical Cord Blood or within seven days before or after the birth of the Child.
Maternal Blood means the peripheral blood collected from Birth Mother of the Child, which has been drawn by observing standard phlebotomy procedures taken within seven days before or after the birth of the Child.

  • Release of the Newborn Stem Cells may be prohibited by federal and/or state law due to contamination status, the presence of communicable disease in the Maternal Blood Sample or any other reason.

  • Birth Mother consents and agrees to the testing of the Maternal Blood as referenced in this Agreement and consents and agrees to the release of the test results to the Client.

  • As per the statutory regulations, if the Maternal Blood is not provided within 7 days before or after childbirth, the Child’s Specimen can be used only for autologous purposes.
