Medicaid offset amount definition

Medicaid offset amount means the amount resulting from the calculations described in Iowa Code section 426B.3 as amended by 2014 Iowa Acts, House File 2463, section 82(5)“d.”

Examples of Medicaid offset amount in a sentence

  • A county’s Medicaid offset amount for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013, shall be equal to eighty percent of the result.

  • If the county receives an equalization payment in the fiscal year following the calculation year, the county shall repay the Medicaid offset amount to the state from that equalization payment.
