Member Materials means all written materials produced or authorized by the HMO and distributed to Members or potential members containing information concerning the HMO Program(s). Member Materials include, but are not limited to, Member ID cards, Member handbooks, Provider directories, and Marketing Materials.

If the MCO distributes HHSC-approved Member Materials groups of Members or all Members (i.e., "mass communications,") it also must post a copy of the materials on its website.

• The STATE and the MCO will develop model materials for this purpose through the collaborative MSHO Plan Member Materials Workgroup per section 3.6.4(C) above.

• Member Materials – Items developed by or on behalf of the MCO to fulfill MCO program requirements or to communicate to all members or a group of members.

• The MCO must obtain ODM prior approval of marketing processes, practices, and communications related to member choice of an MCO as required in Appendix E, Marketing and Member Materials.
