Narcotic treatment service for opiate addiction means an organization that includes a physician who administers or dis- penses a narcotic drug to a narcotic addict for treatment or detoxi- fication treatment with a comprehensive range of medical and rehabilitation services and that is approved by the state methadone authority and the designated federal regulatory authority and reg- istered with the U.S. drug enforcement administration to use a nar- cotic drug for treatment of narcotic addiction.

  • Non-Administrator Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility means a Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility that does not meet the definition of an Administrator Substance Use Disorder Treatment Facility.

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.

  • Public health emergency means an emergency with respect to COVID–19 declared by a Federal, State, or local authority.

  • Palliative care means medical service rendered to reduce or moderate temporarily the intensity of an otherwise stable medical condition, but does not include those medical services ren- dered to diagnose, heal or permanently alleviate or eliminate a medical condition.
