natural person of a Party means a natural person who resides in the territory of that Party or elsewhere and who under the law of that Party:

natural person of a Party means a national of one of the Member States of the Union or of Viet Nam, according to their respective legislation;2

natural person of a Party means a national of Singapore, or of one of the Member States of the Union, according to their respective legislation.

• For the purposes of Chapter 8, the definition of "natural person of a Party" also includes a natural person permanently residing in the Republic of Latvia who is not a citizen of the Republic of Latvia or any other state but who is entitled, under the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia, to receive a non-citizen passport.

• For the purposes of this Chapter, the term "natural person of a Party" means a natural person who resides in a Party orelsewhere and who under the law of the Party is a national of the Party.

• The relevant provisions of this Agreement shall apply to such investments only when such third country has no right or abandons the right to claim compensation after the investments have been expropriated by the other Party; investor of a Party means a natural person or enterprise of a Party who seeks to make, is making, or has made an investment in the territory of the other Party; 9 natural person of a Party means a national or a permanent resident of a Party under its laws.

natural person of a Party means, in the case of the EU Party, a national of one of the Member States of the Union in accordance with its domestic laws1 and regulations and, in the case of Viet Nam, a national of Viet Nam in accordance with its domestic laws and regulations;

natural person of a Party means, for the European Union, a national of a Member State of the European Union, and for Japan, a national of Japan, in accordance with their respective applicable laws and regulations;1

natural person of a Party means, for the purposes of subparagraph (d), a natural person who under the law of that Party:

natural person of a Party means any natural person possessing the nationality or citizenship of, or right of permanent residence in that Party in accordance with its laws and regulations; and
