Net residential density definition

Net residential density means the number of dwelling units divided by the net residential land area. Net residential land area means the residential land area which excludes all road allowances, schools, places of worship, parks and playgrounds, trails, private open space, environmental features and any use or area not directly related to dwelling units and related area of individual private use; or
Net residential density means the number of dwelling units per net residential hectare on a lot or block basis. “Net residential hectare” includes all of the lands comprising the principal and accessory residential uses, and includes all of the buildings, structures, driveways, parking areas and other amenities for these uses. “Net residential hectare” excludes public lands comprised of streets, parkland and other open space and natural heritage features, and storm water management facilities.
Net residential density means the ration obtained by dividing the number of dwelling units on a lot by the area (excluding drives, streets and required open space) of the lot expressed in units per block.

  • Residential Development means lands, buildings or structures developed or to be developed for residential use;

  • Residential Zone means a zone earmarked for buildings exclusively designed for human habitation and in no case shall include its use in whole or a part thereof for any other purpose e.g commercial activities, school, institution, shop, office, clinic, beauty parlor, guest house, marriage center, gymnasium, tuition center, club activities, work-shop, store or godown etc. or for the purpose of political, religious and sectarian activities. It includes parks, gardens, play grounds, sector shops and other open spaces located in the area earmarked in the residential zone.

  • Residential Floor Area means all of the square footage of living area within the perimeter of a residential structure, not including any carport, walkway, garage, overhang, patio, enclosed patio, or similar area. The determination of Residential Floor Area shall be made by reference to the building permit(s) issued for such Assessor’s Parcel.

  • Residential User means all dwelling units such as houses, buildings, mobile homes, apartments, permanent multi-family dwellings.

  • residential land means land used or capable of being used for residential purposes (but does not include land on which there is no residential dwelling).
