Normal shift definition

Normal shift means also that split shift personnel must add all assigned time for a regularly scheduled workday to determine normal shift.
Normal shift is the arrangement of ordinary hours and rostered overtime that are worked by an employee on a daily basis as part of their roster.

Examples of Normal shift in a sentence

  • Normal shift: 0800-1630 Shift trade to work: 1630-0100 Employee will receive afternoon shift pay for the hours worked as the result of the trade.

  • Normal shift starting times shall be 7:00 a.m., 7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 11:00 p.m., or 12:00 midnight.

  • Normal shift of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with one half (1/2) hour unpaid lunch.

  • Normal shift hours shall be up to eight (8) consecutive hours Monday to Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., inclusive of a paid lunch period of one half (½) hour.

  • Normal shift shall mean the appropriate shift coverage in light of the circumstance confronting the City.

  • Normal shift times for two shift operations shall be #2 and #3 shifts.

  • Normal shift hours will be from 0700 to 1900 and 1900 to 0700 hours, unless mutually agreed otherwise.

  • Normal shift starting times for a twenty-four (24) hour work day will be 8:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m., and 12:00 a.m.

  • However, in the case of: Senior Power Plant Operator - Control Room Senior Power Plant Operator - Field Work Control Area Operator Secondary Control Area Operator Power Plant Operator II - Control Room Senior Fuel Handling Specialist - Control Room Senior Fuel Handling Specialist - Field Normal shift turnover will be compensated by thirty (30) minutes pay at straight time per normal shift regardless of actual time involved in the turnover.

  • Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00 p.m. and at or before midnight.

  • Normal Working Hours means between the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, inclusive. Saturdays, Sundays, and County holidays are excluded.

  • Normal Pregnancy or “Childbirth” means a pregnancy or childbirth that is free of complications or problems.
