Organic product definition

Organic product means an agricultural product, produced according to the principles of organic agricultural production, which uses specific methods on the farm holding, as well as activities involved in the further processing, packaging and labelling of a product, in compliance with the objectives, principles and rules defined in law.

  • Organic product processor means a person who has cooked, baked, heated, dried, mixed, grinded, churned, separated, extracted, cut, fermented, eviscerated, preserved, dehydrated, frozen, or otherwise manufactured organic products, and includes the packaging, canning, jarring, or otherwise enclosing organic food in a container.
