Our Purpose. We have formed our Alliance to improve health outcomes for our populations, through: 1.3.1 transforming healthcare services and supporting clinical decision making and the shifting of activities closer to patients; 1.3.2 making (and assisting the DHB to make) strategic health care decisions on a “whole- of-system” basis; 1.3.3 providing leadership within our health community; 1.3.4 assessing the needs of our populations; 1.3.5 planning health services in our District, to make the best use of health resources; 1.3.6 balancing a focus on the highest priority needs areas in our communities, while ensuring appropriate care across all our populations;
