Participating Health Care Organization definition

Participating Health Care Organization means an individual hospital, medical practice, physician practice, home health care agency or other health care provider who has entered into a VHIE Services Agreement with Contractor or a substantially similar agreement, agreeing to participate in the exchange of Data on the VHIE.
Participating Health Care Organization means a Health Care Organization, including a physician practice and any health care organization, that has contracted with VITL to participate in the viewing or exchange of health information on the VHIE. The term “Participating Health Care Organization” shall include all the individual providers and authorized staff employed or otherwise legally associated with the entity or organization.

More Definitions of Participating Health Care Organization

Participating Health Care Organization means the individual hospital, medical practice, physician practice, home health care agency or other health care provider who has entered into a VHIE Services Agreement. Health Care Organization is either a recipient of Data or a supplier of Data, or both, with respect to Data available through the VHIE. The term “Participating Health Care Organization” shall include all the individual providers and authorized staff employed or otherwise legally associated with the entity or organization.
Participating Health Care Organization. (“HCO”) means a health care provider, including any health care organization meeting the definition of a health care facility as defined in 18 VSA § 9402, who has executed an effective VHIE Data Services and Participation Agreement with VITL.
Participating Health Care Organization means a hospital, medical practice, physician practice, home health care agency or other health care provider, who has entered into a VHIE Services Agreement with VITL to participate in the exchange of Data on the VHIE. “Protected Health Information” (“PHI”) shall mean identifiable personal information in any form or medium about the past, present or future physical or mental health or condition of an individual as defined in the HIPAA Privacy Regulations, 45 CFR § 160.103.

  • Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Health carrier or "carrier" means a disability insurer

  • Qualified mental health professional means a licensed medical practitioner or any other person meeting the qualifications specified in OAR 309-019-0125.

  • Non-Participating Hospice Care Program Provider means a Hospice Care Program Provider that either: (i) does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield to provide services to participants in this benefits program, or; (ii) a Hospice Care Program Provider which has not been designated by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan as a Participating Provider Option program.

  • Health care worker means a person other than a health care professional who provides medical, dental, or other health-related care or treatment under the direction of a health care professional with the authority to direct that individual's activities, including medical technicians, medical assistants, dental assistants, orderlies, aides, and individuals acting in similar capacities.

  • Designated mental health professional means a mental health

  • Managed health care system means: (a) Any health care

  • Non-Participating Retail Health Clinic means a Retail Health Clinic which does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Non-Participating Orthotic Provider means an Orthotic Provider who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Educational organization means a nonprofit public or private elementary or

  • Managed care organization means an entity that (1) is under contract with the department to provide services to Medicaid recipients and (2) meets the definition of “health maintenance organization” as defined in Iowa Code section 514B.1.

  • Home Health Care Agency means an agency or organization which provides a program of home health care and which:

  • Non-Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
