Should either the Thunder Bay Police Services Board or the Thunder Bay Police Association identify an issue with this shift schedule, both parties agree to meet with the understanding to mutually resolve the outstanding issue(s) as they may arise.
The Parties agree that for the term of this Collective Agreement, a Tripartite Committee consisting of two (2) representatives (or alternatives) of each of the Board, the Peel Regional Police Association, and the Peel Regional Police Senior Officers’ Association should it elect to participate, shall make recommendations to the Police Services Board with respect to organizational restructuring issues submitted for its review, or tabled by one of the participant groups in the Committee.
The Board shall provide for a leave of absence with pay for a total of 10 duly elected delegates from the Association to attend the Annual Conference of the Police Association of Ontario (10 delegates in total under all Collective Agreements).
The President and Secretary of the Thunder Bay Police Association shall be allowed time off from duty if required, to attend the regular monthly, or special meetings of the Association.
When a member of the bargaining unit has a grievance concerning an alleged violation of the terms of this Agreement he shall communicate his grievance in writing, to the official representative of the Thunder Bay Police Association who shall investigate the grievance.
