Port Warden definition

Port Warden means the Chief of Police and duly authorized deputies and assistants acting in his behalf.
Port Warden means the chief of police or his or her designeeany individual or individuals so designated by the mayor with approval of the city council.

  • The creation or reduction of assignment positions and length thereof are at the discretion of the Port Warden II.

  • The Harbor Department will pay each Unit member employed in the ranks of Port Police Captain, Port Warden I, and Port Warden II cash payments in the amount of $4,000 for the purpose of offsetting costs incurred by said Unit members for community outreach meetings and command-related expenditures.

  • If during the six-month period the Port Police Officer II or III does not achieve a satisfactory standard of service, the Port Warden II shall certify to the City Controller that the employee’s service has been unsatisfactory, and the payment of longevity pay for the employee will cease until such time as the Port Warden II again certifies that the employee has achieved a satisfactory standard of service.
