Post-Accident definition

Post-Accident means an occurrence associated with the Covered Employee’s operation of equipment or the operation of a vehicle (including, but not limited to, any SFMTA owned or personal vehicles) used during the course of the Covered Employee’s work day if, as a result:
Post-Accident. After involvement in an automobile accident while on duty, a firefighter will be subject to post-accident drug and alcohol testing if any one of the following conditions is met: • The vehicle operated by the employee was in motion and there is $5,000 or more damage to any vehicle involved in the accident and the employee was found at fault by the OIC or investigating officer. • Any person injured in the accident is transported from the scene by ambulance or is seeking medical attention and the employee was found at fault by the OIC or investigating officer.
Post-Accident. After involvement in an automobile accident while on duty, a police officer will be subject to post-accident drug and alcohol testing if any one of the following conditions is met: • The vehicle operated by the employee was in motion and there is $5,000 or more damage to any vehicle involved in the accident and the employee was found at fault by the OIC or investigating officer. • Any person injured in the accident is transported from the scene by ambulance or is seeking medical attention and the employee was found at fault by the OIC or investigating officer • Subsequent to any on-duty discharge of a Police Department issued or authorized firearm, other than for firearms training, legitimate competition, target practice at an approved range or to end the suffering of a severely injured animal. The employee will submit a test sample, and said sample will be held until an investigation determines whether such discharge was justified or not justified. If the investigation determines the discharge was justified, the sample will be discarded.

Post-Accident. Any Fire Division employee involved in a motor vehicle accident meeting any of the following parameters shall be tested. 1. If City property is damaged it shall be at the Chief of public Safety's discretion. 2. Any vehicle must be towed from the accident scene. 3. Anyone is required to be transported to a hospital by ambulance.
Post-Accident means an occurrence associated with the Covered Employee’s operation of Equipment or the operation of a vehicle (including, but not limited to, City-owned or personal vehicles) used during the course of the Covered Employee’s work day where the City concludes that the occurrence may have resulted from human error by the Covered Employee, or could have been avoided by reasonably alert action by the Covered Employee, and:
Post-Accident means that the employee has been involved in a workplace accident or an incident that qualifies as OSHA recordable, or that results in property damage estimated at or in excess of five hundred dollars ($500).
Post-Accident means an occurrence involving a commercial motor vehicle operating on a public road which results in: 1) a fatality; 2) bodily injury requiring medical treatment away from the scene of the accident; or 3) one or more motor vehicles must be towed away.
Post-Accident. Testing shall be defined as follows: 1. When the Employee either sustains an injury in the course and scope of employment, or contributes or causes another Employee to sustain an injury in the course and scope of employment. 2. When the Employee causes, indirectly or directly, damages to the Employer’s property or to the property of others. • Detection: Current Employees who test positive under one of the previously described circumstances shall be placed on an unpaid leave of absence. During this period, he/she will be required to participate in a rehabilitation program. This Employee must successfully complete a rehabilitation program prior to consideration for a return to work. Employees completing a rehabilitation program must pass a substance abuse test prior to returning to work and agree to random drug testing for a period of twelve (12) months beginning on his/her return to work. • Employees who test positive and refuse to undergo a rehabilitation program will be terminated. Employees refusing to submit to testing as described in this Policy shall be terminated, or not hired. • An Employee who disagrees with the original test result may request another test of the original sample at his/her expense within twenty-four (24) hours after being notified of testing positive. Should this test result in a negative finding, the Employer shall reimburse the Employee for the cost of the test and any lost wages. • It is mutually agreed that, from time to time, an Employer may be contractually obligated to adhere to the Substance Abuse Policies of another Employer, owner or governmental agency and that additional requirements or procedures, not outlined in this Policy, may have to be implemented. The Employer will notify SMART Local Union No. 68 of any additional Substance Abuse Policies to which the Employer is contractually obligated. • As evidenced in this Substance Abuse Policy, SMART Local Union No. 68 and the SMACNA Chapter of North Texas have a mutual commitment to collectively institute policies promoting high standards of Employee health and safety for the sheet metal industry. An Employee who is found to be in violation of this Substance Abuse Policy, is encouraged to contact the Workers’ Assistance Program, a professional, comprehensive Employee support and counseling organization, at ▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇. All inquiries to the Workers’ Assistance Program are confidential.

  • Accident pay means a weekly payment of an amount being the difference between the weekly amount of compensation paid to the Employee pursuant to the relevant workers compensation legislation and the Employee's appropriate 36 hour rate prescribed in Appendix B of this Agreement (pro-rata for part time and casual Employees).
