Primary Engine definition

Primary Engine means the Locomotive Engine that propels the Locomotive. If the Locomotive is propelled by more than one Locomotive Engine, for any provisions of this Locomotive Regulation which use the Primary Engine’s age, the age shall be based on the Original Engine Build Date of the oldest Locomotive Engine.

Examples of Primary Engine in a sentence

  • The bargaining unit will consist of a minimum of forty-two (42) personnel consisting of one (1) Assistant Chief, four (4) Battalion Chiefs (three Shift Commanders and one Administrative Chief), five (5) Captains (four Primary Engine and one Administrative Captain), eight (8) Lieutenants and twenty-four (24) Firefighter/EMTs.
